Vintage Cars at Wraysbury Fair Motor Pageant

Fancy a frolic in a Ferrari? Partial to a Porsche? Covet a mighty V8 AC Cobra? Here, Wraysbury Fairgoers, is your chance.
It’s all part of a new era for the Fair’s long-established classic car pageant, with Wraysbury Auto Club taking over its management from veteran organiser Frank Burry—huge boots to fill, Frank, but we’ll try our best. There’ll be some 20 “supercars,” motorsport cars, American cruisers, and exotic classic cars available for 20-minute passenger rides, with every last penny of per-ride donations going to our community’s foremost charity, Wraysbury Village Trust.
It’s an innovation inspired—but not part of—by the Sporting Bears charity, a national network of owners and drivers of “dream” cars whose donate-for-a-drive activities have already raised over £3m for children’s charities around the UK. To sign up, just visit Wraysbury Auto Club’s gazebo in the centre of the car pageant displays… and your carriage will await just a few steps away at The Grange.
The classic—and, from this year, other(!)—cars display will, of course, play the central automotive role. However, more innovation is set out in this year’s entry form: a revised series of classes, which will also see the hoped-for return of a motorcycle category and one for your own “supercars” or other modern exotica.
Not least, this year will see the return of trophies—awarded not by judges, but by you, the Fairgoer. The Auto Club stand will also have ballot boxes for each category. It’s your vote—the car in each category with the most votes gets the cup!
So once again, you are invited to enter your own pride and joy. To obtain your entry form, simply email John Griffiths or Nigel Seear at either of the two email addresses below. Get them filled in and back to us just as fast as possible. The entry fee of £10 is also destined for the Village Trust.
